Tried & Tested: Naked Optics the Troop Evo goggle

Founded in Austria in 2013, NAKED Optics are a young, independent ski goggle brand focused on delivering high quality and affordable products. By only selling direct, NAKED Optics have eliminated the additional costs associated with traditional retail pathways which often inflate the price of the original product several fold.

The Troop Evo goggle has a frameless design and magnetic lens which makes changing the lens very, very simple. Just pull it off and snap the new one in place.  I loved the fact that all the lenses are marked clearly so you don’t spend ages trying to work out if you’re taking the right lens out for that days conditions. The Troop Evo comes with two lenses as standard but if you’re looking for the full spectrum (see what we did there) there’s five different options to choose from.

The field of vision is quite frankly massive. I definitely appreciated the large peripheral view  but be aware that they are best suited to large faces.  I tested these in sun, snow and fog and never once had an issue with them fogging up.

All in all, the Troop Evo is a really good offering from an innovative young company trying to do things differently. As they say, ‘good things happen when you’re NAKED.’ Apparently 🙂
