Deep weekend in Australia’s ski resorts

This past weekend saw Mother Nature deliver the goods to Australia’s ski resorts, with up to half a metre of snowfall recorded.

Many of Australia’s ski areas have had a good start to their 2023 ski season, with cold temperatures and regular snowfall since the start of June. Fingers crossed, the best is yet to come with peak season kicking off.

On Sunday, Thredbo recorded 48cm of fresh snow from the storm cycle, which is its biggest snow dump so far.

It’s a different story over in New Zealand and elsewhere in the Southern Hemisphere (in South America) with sub par snowfall early season, but things are starting to look up. Watch this space…
