Introducing film chronicles What The Hands Do.

What The Hands Do follows the life of climbers Mariana Mendoza and Miguel Casar – their evolving relationship with climbing and the communities they build around the sport. 

As lifelong social justice advocates, they ask: How can we use climbing to cultivate joy and connection in our communities? Can climbing create opportunities for meaningful growth? How can we use climbing to shape the world we want to see?

“If we cooperate and support and care for each other, climbing can help us re-imagine the possibilities of what we want the world to be,” says Mariana.
