The all new Movement Fly Two range, descended from the Fly Swatter, is built for freestyle backcountry, coming in 95, 105 and 115 underfoot.

While Movement pro riders Laurent de Martin and Romain Grojean have been raving about the fatter widths, it was the 95 that caught the eye of our chief freestyle tester, Andy Bennett.

Andy, one of the best in the business as coaches go, says:

“For a freestyle-biased ski, this performs exceptionally well all over the mountain. The 95mm width allows great crossover into the backcountry and its 14m radius (at 172cm) allows for a slalom-like carve.

“The stiff tail makes for awesome rebound out of the end of the turn – no chance of chattering tails washing away on this one. If you can handle that tail you can get loads of pop from these and they make an extremely lively and fun ride. I wouldn’t be too afraid of seeking out some kink rails to put them through their paces.”

The black and white graphics are slick and clean – the wider models are red and blue – and on closer inspection we could see subtle pattern in the topsheet.

Full sidewalls give them a solid, good-quality feel and the rocker is mellow, allowing for effective edge as well as manoeuvrability.

These skis look made to last – a welcome attribute of Movements to which several members of the Fall-Line team can testify: co-editor Yolanda’s Naturals, with six seasons’ good use, remain her preferred weapon for touring even after numerous Ski Test comparisons.
