READER TRIP – EXPLORE THE CRANS-MONTANA BACKCOUNTRY

Join us and a team of fellow Fall-Line readers on a rollicking Reader Trip – an Intro to Ski Touring in Crans-Montana.

Over the past 25 years, Fall-Line has been inspiring and equipping you guys with the necessary information to move your skiing to the next level – and now we’re actually going to take you there!

This March we will be running our first Reader Trip for 15 years – an ‘Intro to Ski Touring’ in the beautiful town of Crans-Montana, located right at the heart of the Valais region in the Swiss Alps.

Organised in association with Altitude Holidays and led by local Swiss mountain guides, every member of the team will receive top quality kit to test on the trip and keep afterwards.

Over the course of a long weekend, we will leave the crowds in the resort behind and explore the backcountry around Crans-Montana. Already picturing alpine pastures, wild forests, stunning views, fresh tracks and long descents? You’re pretty much spot on.

If sharing a room full of stinky snoring skiers in a crammed mountain hut isn’t your idea of a ‘holiday’ then you’ll be pleased to hear that our base camp for the trip will be the appropriately-named Hotel Splendide – a cosy owner-run three-star hotel with panoramic mountain views, located about a three-minute walk from the centre of Crans-sur-Sierre.

Throw in a spot of wine tasting, three-course meals with wine and a moonlit snowshoe adventure and you can see that this is going to be a Type 1 fun kind of trip! Places are limited to just 12 skiers so you’ll need to move fast if you want to be part of the adventure.
