These waterproof, breathable goat leather mitts are filled with Primaloft Gold insulation and have an internal glove.
Neoprene cuffs keep the snow out and a soft, brushed jersey lining keeps things cosy.
They come in various colours and are designed in lots of sizes to suit men and women.
BLACK DIAMOND Spark Gloves
These give good dexterity and a soft, cosy feel.
They have a super-tough goat leather shell and BD’s own waterproof, breathable insert inside.
A soft fleece lining and Primaloft Gold insulation keep your hands toasty.
DAKINE Continental Mitts
Part of Dakine’s Highline range, combining a classic look with breathability and comfort.
These leather gloves have large gauntlets and adjustable cuff closures, plus Gore-Tex inserts and Primaloft insulation.
The removable linings are made from Primaloft performance fleece.
Also available in a glove version, and in men’s and women’s-specific versions.
LEKI Progressive Tune S Boa MF Touch Gloves
These gloves utilise the same clever BOA system as used in helmets – just turn the wheel and the glove fits like a second skin.
They have a waterproof/breathable insert, goatskin leather palms and are insulated.
The soft shell outer is very stretchy, too.
MOUNTAIN EQUIPMENT Couloir Gloves RRP £90
Unisex fully waterproof, hardwearing gloves for mountaineers and skiers, these have Gore-Tex inserts and goatskin leather palms.
Pre-curved fingers and thumb add dexterity, while a micro fleece inner lining adds warmth.
A suede nose wipe completes the package.
SLYTECH All MTN Gloves
Primaloft insulated gloves with a Grip Control layer on the palm for – you guessed it – added grip, plus Slytech’s 2nd Skin foam padding, which progressively adapts to different forces and speeds of impact to provide thorough protection.
THE NORTH FACE Purist GTX Gloves
More Primaloft insulated gloves here, this time made from leather and with Gore-Tex inserts.
They have foam protection on the knuckles and fingers with a Neoprene cuff to keep out unwanted drafts.
