Alta Badia is located in the southeast part of South Tyrol, between 1,400 and 2,778 metres (4,593 – 9,114 ft) above sea level, centrally in the Dolomiti Superski skiing area. The location is perfect for exploring the Dolomites on skis and snowboard.
Skiing is a matter of tradition in Alta Badia. As early as 1947, the first chair lift, the Col Alto chair lift, was built in Corvara. Today, the ski resort is optimally cross-linked with its 53 lifts – among which cableways, cable cars, chair lifts and ski lifts – and 130 km (80 mi) of optimally groomed runs. The cross-linkage and the vastness of the Alta Badia ski resort prevent queues at the lifts and congestion on the slopes.
