Alta Badia

Alta Badia, with its lush nature, its centuries old culture, delicious cuisine and the warmth of its Ladin people, is the ideal holiday destination for connoisseurs.

Speaking of cuisine, Alta Badia is the showpiece region in South Tyrol: no other valley in the Alps has such a density of highly decorated restaurants in such a small area, including 1 Michelin-starred restaurant.

Good snow and perfectly groomed slopes are the ideal conditions for the perfect skiing pleasure. From early December to mid-April, you will find wonderful skiing conditions in Alta Badia. Alta Badia rounds it off with a good selection of ski slopes for beginners and experts, fast and modern ski lifts, plenty of sunshine, warm hospitality and good food.

Alta Badia is located in the southeast part of South Tyrol, between 1,400 and 2,778 metres (4,593 – 9,114 ft) above sea level, centrally in the Dolomiti Superski skiing area. The location is perfect for exploring the Dolomites on skis and snowboard.

Skiing is a matter of tradition in Alta Badia. As early as 1947, the first chair lift, the Col Alto chair lift, was built in Corvara. Today, the ski resort is optimally cross-linked with its 53 lifts – among which cableways, cable cars, chair lifts and ski lifts – and 130 km (80 mi) of optimally groomed runs. The cross-linkage and the vastness of the Alta Badia ski resort prevent queues at the lifts and congestion on the slopes.

Skiing in Alta Badia is intended for children, adults, adventure-seekers and pleasure-skiers alike: Everybody will find the right slope for their taste.
