The new Powerlite shell checks in at a featherlight 1560g and is made with four different grades of plastic.

Despite it being one of the lightest alpine boots on the market it still has a beefy feel with K2’s unique ‘spyne’ connecting the clog and cuff without rivets; the more you drive against the cuff the more powerfully it connects to the clog.

It’s at its best driven by an advanced skier whose natural home is the groomed, though it’s stable enough to get you through chopped mashed potatoes.
