V’lkl – Kenja
This is one super fun ski. The season before last Volkl upped the width and added a little tail rocker to go with the tip rocker, as well as flared out both ends slightly. This has gently pulled it away from its classic race shape and meant it had a really good balance between a piste ski and a powder ski. It floated through deeper snow, and the tails didn’t get hung up on the crust underneath, thanks to that little bit of extra rise at both ends. Where lighter, more flexible skis would have been chattering and bumping away, the Kenja sailed through; it likes to go fast and it likes to carve.
