Black Crows – Camox Freebird
The Camox Freebird was revised last season with increased rocker and new, more durable edge construction. What the new construction has also done is make one of the most entertaining backcountry skis even more chuckable by taking weight from the ends – a trend you’ve probably noticed throughout this ski guide. We’d place the Camox Freebird as bridging the gap between long tours and day hiking, with added emphasis on the down. Most riders found they were barely compromised on-piste compared with the metal-filled version.
