What is your brand?

Powderhound is a London based homeware and lifestyle brand founded by me, Natasha Durlacher, in 2019. Inspired by the mountains, the sea, dogs, and the beauty of nature, every piece is designed for those who love adventure. From fine bone china tableware to lifestyle collections, each item is made to spark positivity, evoke happy memories, and encourage a connection with the great outdoors. Every illustration tells a story, capturing a sense of freedom, wellness, and the thrill of exploration with family and friends.

Why did you start the brand?

Powderhound was not an overnight idea. It took time and patience to become what it is today. The brand draws on my deep love for the mountains, my background in the creative world, and a lifetime of skiing. While I may now be more of a fair weather skier, I have experienced everything from the pure euphoria of carving through perfect snow to the adrenaline rush of navigating icy couloirs where falling is not an option. Though I did.

It was that mix of adventure, happy memories, and respect for the mountains that led me to create Powderhound. I wanted to design a brand that captures the spirit of mountain life in a fun and contemporary way. From stylish après ski clothing and tableware to modern fine art photography, every piece is carefully designed and illustrated by me. Many of my designs come from photographs I have taken in the mountains over the years, often in freezing conditions while skiing.

What makes your products different?

Powderhound is still a small business, but seeing my products stocked in mountain shops around the world is incredibly exciting. There is a real sense of achievement in bringing together designs that reflect a shared passion for adventure.

Each product has its own unique design style, making it all the more rewarding to see them enjoyed by people of all ages, from teenagers to older generations. I take great pride in the fact that most of the products are made in the UK, with the t-shirts being 100 percent organic, staying true to my love for nature and quality craftsmanship.

As my ideas evolve, so do my designs and illustrations. My latest collection draws inspiration from alpine flowers, mountain dogs, and surfing, continuing to celebrate the beauty of the great outdoors.
