The athlete lineup for the FWT20 has just been announced. 49 of the world’s best skiers and snowboarders will travel the globe this winter, stopping off at 5 epic freeride venues to lay down the gnarliest of lines as they bid to become FWT champion.
Here are the Ones to Watch across the four categories :
Ariana Tricomi (ITA) will be hoping to claim a historic third consecutive FWT title this year but can expect to be pushed hard by rookies Jessica Hotter (NZL) and Emma Patterson (USA).
Wildcards Juliette Willmann (FRA) and Evelina Nilsson (SWE) will also be keen to make an impression.
With reigning champ, Markus Eder (ITA) taking a step back from competitive skiing, the FWT20 field will be wide open this winter.
Look out for former FWT champs and legends Tanner Hall (USA), Leo Slemett (FRA), Kristofer Turdell (SWE), wildcard Reine Barkered (SWE), and Drew Tabke (USA) and keep an eye on newcomers Carl Renvall (SUI), Blake Marshall (NZL), Tao Kreibich (AUT), brothers Jack and Kevin Nichols (USA), and Isaac Freeland (USA).
The legendary Marion Haerty (FRA) will be hoping to pick up back to back titles and her third overall FWT win.
Stomping in her way will be FWT legends Manuela Mandl (AUT) and Anna Orlova (RUS), and hungry rookies Michaela Davis-Meehan (AUS) and Michelle Locke (CAN).
Last year saw some of the most insane levels of riding ever for this category and we’re looking forward to seeing FWT19 champ Victor De Le Rue (FRA) defending his title.
He’ll face hot competition from Sammy Luebke (USA) who’ll be looking to claim his 4th FWT title and a host of other hugely talented athletes including Cody Bramwell (SWE), Blake Moller (USA), and wildcard Nils Mindnich (USA).
