Try before you buy with the Big Ski Test

Not sure which ski to pick? Head to Ellis Brigham’s Big Ski Test to test the latest offerings for yourself

The-Big-Ski-Man

No matter how brilliant our 100+ ski reviews in this year’s Gear Guide are (and they really are), there’s simply no beating clicking into a pair of skis and trying them for yourself.

Thankfully Ellis Brigham are on hand to let you do just that. Their Big Ski Test is back for its seventh year, giving skiers the chance to compare the hottest new skis on snow.

The events are free (you just have to pay for slopetime) with over 100 skis available for testing, including the latest offerings from Salomon, Atomic and K2.

The Big Ski Test kicks off on 14 November at SnoDome Tamworth, followed by Snowfactor Braehead on 15 November and Snozone Milton Keynes on 21 November.

Equipment Buyer Steve Wells says “The Big Ski events are all about giving skiers free advice and the opportunity to ski as many of this season’s skis as they’d like.

“We’ll have experts on hand to offer advice, tips and lots more.  Plus we have organised free sessions with New Generation ski school to introduce you to carving, short turns and how to get more from your skiing.

“Added to this the unbeatable slopetime offers (3 hours skiing from just £33) and the opportunity to meet some of the GB athletes and a chance to watch this winter’s hottest film Degrees North at Tamworth – it’s a jam-packed event!”

So whittle down your favourite skis using our Gear Guide, then head to one of the below events to find your perfect ski.
