Mayrhofen

The three Ps – park, piste and party!

The Hof, as Brits are found of calling the resort, is located in the Upper Zillertal.

Together with the villages of Brandberg, Ginzling, Ramsau and Schwendau, it offers an extensive range of attractions and facilities.

The ski area is made up of two mountains, the Ahorn and the Penken.

The Vans Penken Park, one of the largest and best-maintained terrain parks in Europe, offers irresistible challenges for freestylers – check the video below to get a taste of just half of what the park has to offer!

The resort also has 157 kilometres of piste, 48 modern lifts and lots of cosy huts to choose from. There are snow cannons aplenty in the Mayrhofen skiing area – forming the largest snowmaking system in the valley – so even when little snow has fallen, there will be plenty of skiing.

And it’s home to the ‘Harakiri’ run (see Fall-Line’s favourite runs for more details), while in-resort they’ve produced a leaflet detailing five different circuits so that skiers of every level can choose an itinerary to suit their ability.

Finally, Mayrhofen is one of the top resorts chosen by the Brits as a season-long destination so the nightlife is… well, you can imagine.
