The Oakley Grom Games 2011On May 28th, the Oakley Grom Games is set to make its mighty return to Manchester's Chill Factore with fun jam sessions, an invitational showdown, cash prizes, exclusive merchandise and the renowned Red Bull after party.
Last year was a huge success with British skiers and snowboarders travelling from all over the country to compete for some of the biggest prizes ever to be given away at a UK snowsports event. What makes the Grom Games different from most events is that it gives riders of all ages and all standards the opportunity to compete in a friendly jam session with no pressure. But impress the judges and you will get the chance to compete in the evening invitational against some of the top British pro's for CASH PRIZES and exclusive merchandise!
There are four age categories again this year: 12 and under; 13 to 17s; 18 to 24s and 25s and over. All age groups have male and female categories so there will over 50 prizes to be won over the jam sessions alone including special prizes for the BEST TRICKS of the day. There will be two separate jam sessions, one for skiers and one for snowboarders so it doest get too hectic on the Oakley Grom Games freestyle arena, which will be especially designed for the event.
The Oakley Grom Games Invitational
Every rider who competes has a chance of winning a place in the evening invitational event. All you have to do is impress the judges in the jam session. 12 skiers and 12 snowboarders will be selected to compete with three of the top British pros; ski and snowboard . If you podium you will win some incredible prizes along with solid CASH prizes.
Red Bull After Party
Once again Red Bull will be hosting the after party in the Chill Factore Chillies bar where there will be a late licence. Even if you're not competing and just want to watch your friends and family battle it out, please do come along and enjoy the incredible atmosphere and party. Red Bull will also be brining their Red bull DJ vehicle to pump out the tunes while you're on the slope. Prize giving will take place up in the Chill Factore Chillies bar for the invitational event and the jam session prize givings will take place straight after each jam session on the slope.

Last year's event was sold out before the start of the event so please make sure to book your place in the Oakley Grom Games now (www.gromgames.co.uk). We had lots of disappointed faces on the day last year, make sure you're not one of them this year. You will only be able to book a place on the day if there are places left.
