Reine Barkered Joins Black Diamond Ski TeamOne of the top up-and-coming freeride skiers from Sweden, Reine Barkered, has joined forces with Black Diamond. Last winter, in his first season competing on the Freeride World Tour (FWT), Reine surprised many of the more experienced skiers and judges on the Tour. His explosive skiing, clean cliff-drops and rock-solid landings earned him a victory in Squaw Valley USA and 2nd place at the coveted Verbier Xtreme in Switzerland. He is currently ranked 2nd in the Overall World standings.
“I look forward to charging the challenging terrain of the FWT venues on the powerful Zealots, as well as travelling the Alps and skiing powder for the cameras on the fun and floaty Megawatts. Actually the entire line of ski products, including the poles , gloves and packs, is perfect for the skiing that I’ll be doing all season,” says the 26- year old resident of Åre.
