Skiing and snowboarding conditions are now described as being, “About as good as they ever get.” according to Marmot’s VP of Marketing, Brian Rode.
All of Marmot’s main runs are now fully open including the double black diamond runs in the Eagle East area, a region of the ski area known for its steep upper bowls and expert tree runs.
“This is what we have all been waiting for. A big dump of snow so we can break out the fat skis and get in some top to bottom, knee deep powder runs”, said Rode. The snow could not have come at a better time as the community of Jasper readies itself to kick off the annual Jasper In January Festival, now considered by many to be western Canada’s premier winter festival. The Jasper In January Festival runs from January 15 through to January 30 and features a number of events along with discounted lift passes and lowered room rates.
For those who prefer groomed runs over deep powder, Rode assures that all the intermediate and novice terrain, and some of the favorite advanced “cruising” runs, have all been groomed to perfection and are in spectacular shape.
“You don’t have to take our word for it if you don’t want to”, adds Rode. “Just log onto our live webcams
and have a look for yourself”.
