Henry and the team have also been busy trying to find out exactly how much cover you can expect from the different insurance brokers out there. Over the past two months they've been in discussion with a lot of different companies to try and figure out what backcountry cover is actually on offer.

HAT are running their COPE (Certificate of Off-Piste Excellence) programmes at the moment and still have spaces in Val d'Isere, so if you're after a little shr-education look them up.
