ERISTOFF Vodka has integrated Facebook’s Places functionality into its Snowbombing Guide 2011 iPhone app allowing visitors to Mayrhofen, Austria, to keep track of their friends and discover venues after a day on the slopes.
Primarily designed to allow attendees of the annual Volvo Snowbombing event to track their friends at the event, the app will also allow Winter sports fans to tracks their friends throughout Mayrhofen’s venues long after the festival ends.
Users simply ‘check in’ to their current location and their friends will be able to find them through the app interface.
The free iPhone app functions as a guide to Mayrhofen, incorporating GPS enabled maps and guides to all major local venues. Not only can users find out where their friends are, with this app they can also learn about the venue they have checked into at that time.
