Get your shovels out

Jobs at Freeze, fancy a bit of midnight digging?

If you want to get to Freeze but cash is an issue, or if you're just a dab hand with a shovel and want a chance to show off then check the post below...

The Relentless Freeze Festival is shouting out to all enthusiastic skiers and boarders to get in touch to be a part of this magnificent event.

Not only are the world’s best skiers (Simon Dumont, Jossi Wells, Mike Riddle, Roy Kittler, Paddy Graham...) and snowboarders (Stefan Gimpl, Scotty Lago, Marco Grilic, Iouri Podlatchikov, Jamie Nicholls....) going to be there but the music line up is also worth checking out with the likes of Roni Size, Mark Ronson and Pendulum (DJ set) headlining the weekend.

"We are looking for both paid crew and volunteer crew to make sure the slope is perfect each day. Applicants need to have a reasonable level of skiing or boarding, be relatively fit as there is a lot of walking up and down the slope and most of all be up for it, the more you put in the more you get out.

"The night crew is paid work will involve preparing the snow each night for when the riders arrive in the morning, hard work but rewarding when you see the finished product. The work will begin around 9pm on Thursday night and we will be finished by 5pm on Monday afternoon, you must be available to work the full period (although not continuously obviously). This is the perfect way to check out the event and earn a bit of cash towards your season.

"The day shift will consists of two teams of 10 volunteers working half the day each maintaining the slope with both a bit of shovelling and side slipping the landing. Each crew will work about 7 hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Again if you sign up you must be available to work each day.

"Get the perfect view and feel part of the UK’s highest profile ski and snowboard event!"

Crew will need to find their own accommodation in London if they don’t already live there. A weekend festival pass along with food during your working hours will be provided.

If you fancy being involved in the action in either team then get in touch with Graham MacVoy for more information, graham@gmcevents.net. Initial information to send with your enquiry is your age, whether you are a skier or snowboarder, which crew you are interested in working with.
