After a rocky year APO snowboard can confirm they’re still in the game. The brand started by Regis Rolland ran into financial troubles but have secured more investment to hit it hard for another winter. Check them out, www.apo-snow.com.

The Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour will be hitting hard in two weeks with the 5Star Burton New Zealand Open taking place at Cardrona Alpine Resort from 10-14 August. Expect some fierce battles as riders aim to give the 2011 season a kick start. If like most of us you happen to be about as far from NZ as you can get then tune in to GO211.com where you’ll be able to follow a live webcast from the event. Take note that the dates over here in Blighty will be 12 and 13 August though!

Dates for the 8th Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam are out. It will be taking place from 12-14 November this year.
Hadouken!, Roni Size, Bedouin soundclash and Skindred are some of the first acts confirmed to play at this year’s Freeze festival taking place 29-31 October at Battersea Power Station. It’s only four weeks to the first comp of the Westbeach Snowflex Freestyle Series and Freeze have bundled in on the act to offer three pairs of tickets to the festival. Tuesday night next week sees the first of the Burton Freestyle Camps hit the SnowDome. The Burton team will be on hand to offer tips and advice for slaying anthing the SnowDome can throw at you. All ages and levels area catered for, so don’t be shy, go and say hi. In addition to Brit shredders Gary Greenshields, Tom Guilmard, Matt Higson, Chris Kightly and George Wooley all being on hand to help out you’ll have the opportunity to try the 2011 Burton range of decks and see it all on video in the bar. There’s also a tonne of giveaways.
