Hintertux is Austria’s only all-year-round ski region, and the ascent up to 3250 metres is full of breathtaking views!
One of the most spectacular cable car in the Alps, the Gletscherbus3, whisks you up to the top, from where you can launch into 86 kilometres of impressive pistes, with unparalleled skiing conditions in winter – even in autumn and spring there are up to 60 kilometres of slopes to choose from.
The Panorama terrace is an ideal vantage point from which to take in the imposing surrounding scenery, where views stretch as far as the Großglockner, the Dolomites and the Zugspitze.
The glacier’s Betterpark, at 3000 metres, sits next to the Olperer drag lifts and is sculpted beautifully. And the 5.6 metre high halfpipe was the first superpipe to be cut on any Austrian glacier.
At the top of the glacier, and surrounded by majestic peaks, free skiers can revel in unparalleled powder conditions, with kickers and pipes for all levels of ability.
