Morgins – Les Portes du Soleil

A border village surrounded by huge Christmas trees, Morgins is a quite place to lay your head. The skiing is on tree-lined slopes amid the ever-present forest on the one hand, while the magnificent Dents du Midi provide a memorable backdrop on the other. Make sure to head for the secret Tovassiere valley, where there's jaw-dropping views… and skiing. On the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil, Morgins is the highest resort and offers access to more than 40 miles of direct terrain and, despite its prime position for accessing the larger region; its prices are fairly reasonably.
