Les Gets – Les Portes du Soleil

A traditional mountain village set in the French side of the Portes du Soleil

Les Gets sits at one end of the Portes du Soleil. It is the closest resort to Geneva airport.

Terrain here is best suited to beginners and intermediates, and families will feel comfortable. Just over the valley is Morzine – the two resorts are well linked by runs. The links to Morzine also lead on to Avoriaz and beyond that to the rest of the Portes du Soleil region – although you'll need to cross Morzine by foot, bus or taxi to get onto the lifts that lead up to Avoriaz.

Les Gets has a wonderful charm and a great selection of blues and reds to get the legs working. The tranquil surroundings are just the thing for skiers looking to get away from the more crowded areas and the stunning backdrop is Mont Blanc. All this, and you can start off with your skis clicked on in the village. There’s a freestyle park that improves year on year at Mont Chery.
