Brits abroad: a busy week for UK snowboarders

It's one hell of a week for UK snowboarders, what is it with February?

As if Jenny Jones taking silver two-weeks ago at the X Games 15 in Aspen wasn't enough, Saturday just gone Jamie Nicholls competed in the Rookie Challenge at the Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck. He was up against a formidable line up and grabbed third with a solid back 10 double cork. Amazing work from the young Brit who will be joining Tom Guilmard at the Nike 6.0 Air & Style in Munich this weekend. This time, instead of slaying the massive jump Jamie and Tom will be turning their hands to jibbing at the Stairset Battle Tour final. The NIke 6.0 competition reaches it's final resting point in Munich after nine events across Europe that kicked off in Caslteford back in December.

Take a look at the Billabong Air & Style Rookie finals on the freecaster website and check the immense set-up for the Stairset Battle Finals in Munich on the Air & Style website. Nike 6.0 are running the show in Munich, you can watch the event live from their facebook page on Saturday.

Jonny Russell has also been flying the flag, on Friday before the Air & Style he competed in the Burn Rail session – check the vid below where he gets the ending shot with a hardway cab 270.

And if that wasn't already a busy enough schedule, "retired" pipe pro Dan Wakeham has been invited to the 5Star Nescafe Champs in Leysin, Switzerland. The event kicks of tomorrow and will be celebrating its 20th anniversary with a prize purse of $50,000 USD! Watch the finals live on Saturday at www.ttrworldtour.com.
