By day or night no-one shreds La Plagne quite like Julien Regnier!

From pitch black couloirs to roof hucks and fire pit gaps, Julien Regnier and Kevin Rolland showcase their home resort La Plagne in a whole new light

With 2.5 million skiers visiting La Plagne in the French Alps each winter it’s fair to say there’s quite a bit of competition for the title ‘best skier on the mountain,’ but legendary French freeskier and Black Crows’ lead ski designer Julian Regnier might have the most solid claim of the lot.

In their new flick Fast Forward II: The Eclipse Regnier and Kevin Rolland take a leaf out of Candide’s book, ripping up the slopes of the Tarentaise resort by day and night with a series of improbable stunts, and showing just how expansive and varied La Plagne’s skiing is in the process.

FAST FORWARD II – THE ECLIPSE

Kevin Rolland and Julien Regnier are back skiing down La Plagne from the top to bottom, from day to night…

If shredding steep couloirs purely by the light of head torches and sending huge gaps over fire pits isn’t enough to secure his claim, hucking from the roofs of La Plagne’s iconic/unfortunate (delete as appropriate) architecture in one to shot only to tear up a glowstick illuminated race course in the next must surely be enough to secure the crown for Regnier.
