Construction:
Wood core sandwich
A strong all-mountain ski with enough beef to knock it into the freeride category. Derived from the long-running men's Aztec, this is the sort of model you'd fit a touring binding to really open up the mountains. The relatively narrow waist width is compensated by a long nose, which carries its width back down the ski for float in soft snow - this also gives the Maya a short turn radius. It scored highly on piste.
