G3 make highly-regarded backcountry gear and are now available over here. The Spitfire is the all-rounder of the range, with a fair bit of width and power for a touring ski. The semi-sandwich construction makes it heavier than the uphill-biased models, but it's still a light ski. Very effective in downhill mode in a springy, lively kind of way. Popular with the telemarkers, and they certainly shouldn't be allowed all the fun.
