Hi guys, So i'm doing a piece of coursework for my Physics A level and it is surrounding materials. I have decided to make it on the outer shell of a ski boot and was wondering if any of you had any idea what they are made out of nowadays? I know this may be a bit of a bore, but help would be great! Thankyou |

hi gav, depending on the manufacturer and the level of the boot the plastics in boots vary, at the lower end, beginners boots the material is often polypropelyne, better boots are then made of polyeurathane or polyether, and the ultra ligth touring models tend to be made of a material called pebax (and some carbon on the very top end stuff hope that helps answer your question http://www.solutions4feet.com for ski boot sales & fitting, footbeds, custom liners gait analysis & running shoes |
