I am looking for some advice and or recommendations for off piste skiing instruction in Val D'Isere this March, I am competent piste skier with 12 weeks under my belt. I have Very little off piste experience, I am interested in possibly 3 x 3 hrs sessions during the week rather than a full week course. I would be interested in small groups or on an individual basis. Their seems to be a lot off choice available, Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated, Regards Richard

Re: Off Piste Instruction in Val D'Isere

Hi Richard, hope this helps...

We've had amazing feedback from customers who've been away with all of the following British set ups in Val D'isere:

1) Stuart Bernard at Ski Focus. They're based in Tignes and also work in Val D'Isere. Contacts: http://www.skifocus.co.uk/ They're very flexible and can often work more individual hours to suit you, with enough notice.

2) Snoworks: http://www.snoworks.co.uk/ Another great set up in Val D'isere that we also have had good reports back.

3) Ultimate Snowsports: http://www.ultimatesnowsports.com/index.htm

All of these companies should provide you with a very good level of professional tuition, but in a modern up to date way!

Happy Skiing :-)

Re: Off Piste Instruction in Val D'Isere

Hi Richard,

I'm a big fan of Top Ski in Val d'Isere - www.topski.fr

I try to ski with them every time I'm in Val. They're not only an extremely friendly bunch of instructors/guides, but they really know their stuff when it comes to off-piste technique (it's their speciality), and always know where the best powder stashes are.

Hope that helps, and bon ski!
