Several days ago we had some of the best lines we could have wished for. We found loads of untracked stuff days after it had snowed. All we had to do was hike a little for it.
The first hike we did was to a place called "Rock Garden". It's about a 20-minute hike but pretty mellow. When you dorp in at the top you get a bit of steep stuff to start but then it flatens out and you get to hit up loads of pillows which is really cool especially when you have a foot of fresh.
We also skied down the Montgele face a few times because the lift has been running up there loads this season. The front face was pretty wind blown so we had the best stuff off the back. It's still a little rocky up there but luckily Bungle works in the ski shop so he can fix all our skis!
Suprisingly the best turns we had were over at a place called "highway". It's a suprise because you don't have to hike to get there just traverse and we couldn't understand why nobody had skied it. The snow was super stable and not a rock in sight so needless so say it was all you could want!
We had a few park sessions too and we now have loads of rails set up. The jumps are a nice size for practicing spins on too so its all good.
The photo is me on the S-rail in the park. I've heard that the park in Tyon which is linked to Verbier is pretty good so I will be heading over there sometime within the next few days so will let you know what it's like in the next blog.
Cheers, Andy
