Yes, there was enough snow this year to get the touring skis out and deliver Christmas cards by ski.

Now if that isn't a proper start to Christmas I don't know what is. Obviously I went late at night and fell out of the bindings a couple of times; nothing to do with the sloe gin, by the way. Short note to self - when changing ski boots for a size smaller make sure the sole lengths are the same or the bindings will be a bit loose... Anyway, the downhill in the East Midlands isn't too challenging. We think this means the Northamptonshire ski touring season is officially open.
